What size organisations do you supply?

We carefully review every customer enquiry and assess individually whether it fits our portfolio and scope of services – regardless of the size of the company. Feel free to contact us.

Can you supply my home energy?

We only provide business energy products and services to the non-domestic energy market.

How can I access my invoices online?

Your invoices are available to view through our SEFE Energy Customer Portal, here. Just log in on your device and navigate to ‘Invoicing’.

What do I do if I think I have been a victim of a phishing attempt from someone impersonating SEFE Energy?

Please contact us immediately here, sharing the details or attachment of the phishing attempt. We will then investigate this and confirm whether it is a legitimate correspondence or phishing attempt and support you with any next steps as needed.

How can I report a suspicious email or call from SEFE Energy?

We take any attempts like this very seriously. If you receive any email, telephone or SMS communications from SEFE Energy that you feel are suspicious, please report it so we can log and investigate this.

Why have you changed your name to SEFE Energy?

As the German sales location of SEFE Securing Energy for Europe GmbH, our company name, previously WINGAS GmbH, has changed to SEFE Energy GmbH.
The SEFE name reflects the new role of the SEFE group in securing a reliable source of energy for Europe and driving the green energy transformation.

Who owns SEFE Energy?

SEFE Energy GmbH is 100% is owned by SEFE Securing Energy for Europe GmbH (“SEFE”).
Since 14 November 2022, SEFE Securing Energy for Europe GmbH and its subsidiaries have been owned by the Federal Republic of Germany, represented by the “BMWK” (Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action).

Who is your parent company and has their name changed?

Yes, our parent company is SEFE Securing Energy for Europe GmbH (SEFE) which was formerly Gazprom Germania GmbH. 

What does the name change mean for the day-to-day running of SEFE Energy?

This change means we have entered a new chapter, one we are all very excited about, but it does not impact our day-to-day operations. We remain steadfast in our commitment to offering a reliable and customer-focused service to businesses and organisations across Germany.
For customers, your agreement has not been amended or affected at the result of this change, and we are still using the same bank details, telephone numbers and addresses so please do contact us through normal channels.

Where do you get your gas from and who supplies my gas?

SEFE Energy sources its gas from various European trading points/hubs. All trading for our customers is handled by the Service Desk. The gas we purchase on the wholesale market comes from various sources and countries, including Norway and Qatar.

What type of businesses do you support?

SEFE Energy attracts a wide range of customers across different sectors, and we know each business has a different set of challenges.
From industrial company to power plant operator, municipal utility, and natural gas trader – we work as partners to help our customers achieve their energy goals. Our team of energy professionals can identify and tailor products and services to meet the specific needs of your organisation.

Where does SEFE Energy operate?

Our German sales headquarters is based in Kassel, but SEFE Energy also has office locations in Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, France, the Netherlands and the UK.
Our parent company, SEFE Securing Energy for Europe (“SEFE”), is headquartered in Berlin. 
While the core of SEFE’s business is based in Europe, the group operates globally.

Has SEFE Energy’s contact details changed?

In 2024 we changed from WINGAS GmbH to SEFE Energy GmbH – in line with this, our emails have changed from @wingas.com to @sefe.eu.
Please note in some instances, there may still be cases where @wingas.com is referenced on correspondence – however, at this current moment, the only emails you should receive from the SEFE Energy team are:

How many people do you employ?

Across all locations, SEFE employs round 2,000 from over 60 nationalities.
At our German sales headquarters in Kassel, we employ around 300 colleagues in a diverse array of roles and specialties from all across SEFE – from sales and operations, to technology, data science and more. While our primary activity in Kassel is sales, many colleagues from our central functions work from our Kassel office as well.

What is REMIT?

Since April 7, 2016, energy trading companies across Europe are subject to the extended reporting obligations of the energy regulation REMIT. Market participants are obliged through REMIT (Regulation of Energy Market Integrity and Transparency) to report their energy trading transactions (gas and electricity) to ACER (Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators).
